Senior Leadership Team

Kim Denison serves as Controller within Team Vanguard. Kim has spent her career in audit, accounting and tax fields within international corporations, private sector as well as not for profit organizations. In her role with Team Vanguard, Kim has overall responsibility for the financial reporting activities while working in tandem with Team Vanguard Operations. Kim is a Certified Public Accountant that started her accounting career as an auditor with KPMG and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She currently serves on the board of directors for several non profit organizations as well as participates in volunteer opportunities within her community. Kim currently holds her commercial pilot license and instrument flight instructor. When not working, Kim enjoys family time with her three sons.

Sunanda Manoharan

Sunanda Manoharan

 

Sunanda Manoharan is the Senior Manager for Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance for Team Vanguard. She is a global life science professional who has worked in both research and industry settings in India, Singapore, Sweden and the United States. Her work experience encompasses cancer research at the Cancer Research Institute in Mumbai, India. Sunanda was also seconded by the Bioprocessing Technology Centre to Pharmacia & Upjohn, Sweden to lead a technology transfer project for recombinant Factor VIII production from CHO cell lines. At Taconic Biosciences, she led Monoclonal Antibody operations and as Emerging Markets Operations Manager, she was responsible for managing all of Taconic's global distributors. Sunanda spearheaded the market strategy for Taconic's operations and distributor operations in India. Sunanda has consulted for several life science and diagnostic companies for their emerging market strategy and implemented international market expansion projects. She holds a M.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Mumbai, India and an MBA from SUNY, Albany, NY. Sunanda is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Commercialization, University of Cincinnati.

 

Joseph Kleiber

 

Joseph Kleiber serves as a Technical Operations Support Manager for Vanguard Supply Chain Solutions LLC. Joseph brings many years' experiences from several different fields, including the Private Transportation industry, Funeral Service industry, as well as Emergency Management & Disaster Planning. In 2016, Joseph was honored to be nominated as a ‘Rising Star Under 40’ by the 7Rivers Alliance for his dedication to community service. He is also involved in many communities' service groups, including the Historical Society, Lions Club, and Volunteer Emergency Service Organizations.  Joseph currently resides in southwest Wisconsin and is avid outdoorsman, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.

 

 

Elizabeth Welch

Elizabeth Welch serves as a Technical Operations Support Manager for Vanguard Supply Chain Solutions LLC. Elizabeth brings many years’ experiences from several different fields, including the Private Transportation industry, Manufacturing industry, as well as Project Management. Previously, Elizabeth began her career in manufacturing for H&K International, followed by many years with Stevens Transport, and Robert Heath Trucking, one of the largest refrigerated carriers in the US. Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge from these past endeavors such as quantitative analysis, revenue & growth-oriented initiatives, capacity coverage, brokerage capabilities, policies, projects, and plans relating to all kinds of transport systems. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys life on the lake, volunteering with the local Girl Scouts and Public Library in her hometown.

Myriah Hankins

Myriah Hankins is the Recruiting and Training manager at Vanguard. In this current role, Myriah oversees the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of all Vanguard Teammates. Prior to working for Vanguard, Myriah was a regional human resources director for a large restaurant chain in Australia and New Zealand. Myriah also has previous experience as the HR and recruitment director for a transportation company based out of Ohio. Myriah’s recruiting style is based on creating a sense of “approachability” for all candidates and new hires at Vanguard.

Erin Marshall

Erin Marshall is the Head of our Procurement & IT Department. In this role, Erin oversees all IT functions including software implementation, equipment acquisition and daily trouble shooting functions. Erin is responsible for all aspects of the technology vision of Vanguard to include hardware, software, cellular technology, and information technology security. Additionally, Erin is responsible for all large procurement for the company, ensuring that a fair and efficient process is followed to provide the company with the most cost-effective solutions while maintaining a fair procurement pipeline. Erin is a mother of two and spends her free time enjoying spending time with her family and bicycle riding.

Michelle LeBlanc

Michelle LeBlanc is the Regulatory Compliance Manager and Safety Officer for Vanguard Supply Chain Solutions. Michelle brings many years of transportation experience including Intermodal and Interstate Trucking, customer service and sales. At Vanguard she manages the safety and compliance of 12 locations across the country that includes more than 80 trucks and drivers. Michelle lives in Western Maryland and enjoys being outside exploring the C&O Canal.

John Lombard

 

John Lombard spent 15 years at Taconic Biosciences leading the Logistics, Order Management and Pricing organizations worldwide. In the area of Logistics, he managed and re-engineered the use of Taconic’s in-house and third-party transport fleets to provide more cost-effective delivery to customers.
Reengineering of routing, timing and holding facilities was key to John’s success. Customer satisfaction with Taconic’s logistics operations increased and remained consistently in the 95 to 99% range.
As a part of that reengineering effort, John led Taconic’s ERP Design & Implementation team for Order Management, Logistics and Pricing functions. One of his successful objectives was to harmonize the European & US business processes so that customers with worldwide operations had a seamless experience regardless of their location.

At Vanguard, John provides strategic advice to Vanguard’s Executive Leadership Team on facilities development and maintenance, assisting with the procurement, build out and opening of three new distribution centers. Additionally, John advises the team on matters of process improvement, physical security, and operational efficiency.

Jim Walker

Jim Walker is the Regional Operations Manager West for Vanguard Supply Chain Solutions LLC. At Vanguard, Jim oversees 5 of 12 of our distribution centers. Jim began his career in logistics in 1984 with the United States Marine Corps where he spent 12 years as a Logistics and Landing Support Specialist.

Jim has held multiple positions such as Operations Manager at Commodity Logistics and Inventory Manager at TOTO USA, as well as 11 years with Envigo RMS in their Houston distribution center before coming over to Vanguard.

Jim is married to his wife of 24 years and has 4 children and 4 grandchildren with one more on the way. In his personal time, he enjoys spoiling with his grandchildren, golf,  and is an avid outdoorsman.

Richson Fenelon

Richson Fenelon

Richson Fenelon serves as the East Coast regional manager for Vanguard Supply Chain Solutions. Richson brings many years of transportation experience in Intermodal and Interstate Trucking including shipments crossing the border into Canada. At Vanguard Richson is able to manage multiple crews at multiple sites while ensuring productivity and on-time delivery. Richson is skilled in evaluating and revising operational processes to achieve maximum efficiency. Richson enjoys sports, investing, and learning new things.

Mark Sands oversees operations for Frederick MD, Greenfield IN, and Madison WI. He also has the responsibility to manage Vanguards national flex program, organize and orchestrate weekly coverage for staffing needs across Vanguard, and is the auditor for Vanguard expense reports. With this he also co-chairs Vanguards Engagement initiative and multiple smaller projects across the company.

Mark has over 20 years of experience in logistics management. The companies he has worked for range from Fortune 10 companies to small owner based businesses. In his career Mark has worked with almost every type of transportation model, multiple warehousing environments, and numerous methodologies to increase customer satisfaction.

Outside of work Mark’s spends time with his Daughter. They enjoy hiking, camping, softball, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
